Permission to Change My To-Dos

in life

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I am suffering from a serious case of To-Do List Ambition, which has quickly translated to overwhelm. This isn’t the first time it’s happened, but this is the first time I’m being compassionate about it.

So I’m giving myself permission to not blog this week. You’re probably wondering why you’re reading this then. I happened to have found some seriously cool stuff to read this week, so I thought I would share it here in case you were hoping for some good insight.

  • Johann Hari wrote this article over at Huffington Post, which brought tears to me my eyes. I’m thinking I might check out his book. One of the best lines from the post? “Addiction is an adaptation. It’s not you. It’s your cage.”
  • If you’re hoping to read some writing of mine, Transformation Magazine published my article How to Create Good Habits. It’s not a bad read if you’re into that sort of thing 😉
  • Then there’s this piece on abuse and its lasting impact on your health over at NPR. If you’re a doc and afraid to ask these questions, maybe you should reconsider your profession. Just saying.

I hope you’re having a great week. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, remember it’s OK to change your to-dos.

You don’t have to win every list, every time. Frankly, I know it can’t be done. Better to just keep moving every day and enjoy the view.

keep moving
