My E-Book is Published!

When I was about 24, I’d just started journalism school — I was over the moon that I’d finally figured out what I wanted to do. I was reading my horoscope from Rob Breszny after my waitressing shift.

That's the ram, or Aries, auf Deutsch.

That’s the ram, or Aries, auf Deutsch.

It told me that if I wanted to achieve a goal, I should just work backwards from it. Basically, the idea is you take some big achievement and break it into smaller manageable pieces.

In that moment, I realized what I really wanted (more than a great job in newspaper) was to write a best-selling book. Furiously, I wrote the steps backward to get to that point and landed at this revelation:

If I wanted to write a best-selling book, I would have to write a book first.

If this seems like a “duh” moment to you, remember, I was still drinking a fair amount then. Have you ever heard drunk people’s epiphanies? Right. They’re not usually mind-blowing.

So, for years I worked on different ideas. I wrote a novel. I outlined several other plans. But none of them really resonated. Until now.

Yes, ladies and gents, today is the release of the e-book version of my collection of essays!

change is easy

There’s a little something for everyone in it. Here’s the book blurb:

With essays on everything from (finally!) developing a flossing habit and eating her veggies to dealing with addiction and overcoming the trauma of sexual abuse, Rebecca opens up about her experience with change. Her honest, conversational style and unique approach to personal development will have you reconsidering your beliefs about change and rethinking what it takes to be the human you know you can be. Backed up by more than just anecdotes, this book is designed to be motivational and inspiring as well as entertaining.

If you want to know more, you can check out my book page, which has a list of the chapters, or you can head over to Amazon or iBooks to read samples and buy it.

This is a huge deal for me obviously. I’m super proud of myself and happy to share my hard work with you. Life goal achieved — hooray! (If you’re more into holding a book in your hot little hands, hang in there. The physical copy should be available in a few weeks.)

I would love it if you’d buy the book, of course. But more than anything, please share this with your friends and family.

Word of mouth is a powerful tool, and since I would love for this to become a best-selling book, I really do need your help 🙂 You can use the share buttons below this post. I appreciate you helping me out!

Thanks TS! I am super proud actually 🙂 Following through has never been a strong skill of mine, and seeing this project through to the end (still working on it actually) is really teaching me a lot. And it’s fun <3
